The guiding force in my life

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While that's official name of the Church, and the one we typically prefer, we're also commonly called Mormons. Like most Christian faiths, we believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We believe that Christ died for the sins of all mankind. We believe in being honest and kind to others. While we may have a lot of differences with other churches, we like to build what we have in common, and then we can share what makes us unique.

In the Church, most members have what we refer to as a calling. I currently serve as the choir director. Most Sundays we practice music for about an hour, and then about once a month we perform during our usual Sunday service. It's my job to pick the music, help the choir prepare and wave my arm at them to help then know when and how to sing. We're currently preparing for Christmas, and we have a bunch of music picked out. Here's the Christmas program I've planned so far:

  1. Look Back to Bethlehem
  2. When Joseph Came to Bethlehem (children)
  3. O Little of Bethlehem (piano)
  4. It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
  5. A Quiet Hush
  6. Oh Holy Night

Unfortuntaly, I won't actually be able to lead the choir in the actual performance, since I'll have moved to Utah by then. But I want to make sure they're as prepared as possile, and that whoever replaces me won't have to worry too much about it.
